Got my CDs, and... the hurricane died a little!

Falling asleep was such a hard thing to do last night. I tossed and turned for over an hour with senseless thoughts running through my mind. By senseless, I mean, they had in no way in an affect on my life. They were alteration thoughts of reality that had no busy keeping me up.
I managed to to sleep until 2:30. And I wanted to sleep more. The ship was bouncing a bit, and very much thought we were in a storm. I turned on the television to see it was a cloudless gorgeous day outside. I knew I had to play at 5-8 and 9:30 to 11:30, so I took it easy. My voice was still hurting. So I just relaxed until 4, where I took a shower. Got dressed in my suit, went down to the MSA to see if my CDs had come in and they did! So now I have 120 CDs!
I came down to the VERY dead Casino, and player some upbeat songs.. for no one. Played until 6. Then I went to dinner. There Glenn told me I should go to the infirmary about my voice, because maybe if enough people go there, the company will realize that pushing musicians to work longer hours actually hurts performances. 4 hours was always tolerable for me. 5 is pushing it.
I sing hard as it is, so, I’m really going to have to learn more quiet songs to take it easy. I will go to the infirmary tomorrow if it still hurts.
I came back to play at 6:30. At 6:40, Peter told me to break ‘til 7. He asked if it was busy at all. I informed him, that it really wasn’t that busy.
I bumped into Stu, and he asked me how it was going and I filled him in on the voice bit, and the dead crowd. He told me simply not to sing if no one is there. So I went outside and got some fresh air. I noticed the huge swells in the ocean. That hurricane was sending quite a rift. Luckily though, the hurricane has died to a Category 3. It was expected to die to a 1 in a couple more days. And we are expected to do our regular itinerary. Acapulco, well get to a little late but, we’ll manage to go. I have port manning, so it’s whatever. Hopefully I’ll get the day off, because I REALLY need it!
I’m on break now.. and then I have work 9:30 to 11:30. I’ll have to sing then. But it will be cool.
Amanda emailed me and told me she stuffed 75 envelopes with my pictures and she needs another 100 pictures. So I’ll do that. Should all be nice!
